The Box, a Glasgow-based dance group consisting of 13 youngsters aged between seven and 15, sailed through to the final of the Got To Dance show hosted by Davina McCall earlier this year after wowing UK television audiences with their breathtaking routines. The Box were also a firm favourite with television judges Pussycat Doll's Kimberly Wyatt, Diversity's Asley Banjo and Hollywood actor, Adam Garcia. Choreographer Robert Hamilton, himself a successful dancer having performed at the Royal Variety Show, in various West End musicals and at the Brit Awards with Robbie Williams, trains The Box at the Dancepoint Musical Theatre School in Glasgow. Robert said, 'I formed The Box a few days before the first audition for Got To Dance and the commitment and professionalism from all of the kids is outstanding. We are delighted to be performing at Hamilton Park Racecourse and cannot wait for what is guaranteed to be a great day out for all the family.' Vivien Kyles, Chief Executive, said: 'The addition of The Box to our 2010 season line-up underlines the racecourse's commitment to providing a variety of high quality entertainment throughout the summer. Everyone at the racecourse is extremely excited about the calibre of acts coming to the venue this year. It really shows just how far Hamilton Park has come in a short space of time to be able to attract top class entertainment to the heart of Lanarkshire and yet still be able to offer racing, live performances, free kids activities and more from as little as £13.' |
