HAMILTON PARK’S COMMITMENT TO OWNERS’

As the venue staging a race for your racehorse, we at Hamilton Park understand both the significant investment made and the anticipation you will be feeling prior to each occasion your horse is declared to run. The team at Hamilton Park is committed to ensuring that your visit exceeds expectations regardless of how your horse performs (we can’t control that bit!).

With the new season getting underway on Sunday 5th May, we are delighted to unveil our strategy for prize money and our commitment to Owners, Trainers and racing staff for the 2024 season.

Despite the challenges presented by reduced industry funding to support the Premierisation trial, we are striving to maintain the quality of the race programme on offer here at Hamilton Park with total prize money set to reach £1.58m. This year’s programme continues to see investment in prize money at all levels, with every fixture due to be run for at least 25% above BHA minimum values, rising to 81% for our opening fixture.

We will once again break new ground with our richest raceday ever, with the return of the Sky Bet Sunday Series fixture which this year moved to Sunday 2nd June. This fixture is part of the Premierisation trial and will feature total prize money of £225,000 including a new Class 2 handicap worth £75,000, making it our second richest race ever behind the historic Lanark Silver Bell Heritage Handicap.

For 2024 we will be implementing further improvements to our facilities as well as enhancing the recognition for our champion Owner, Trainer and Jockey and those Owners who place a significant number of runners across the season.
