| The Saturdays come to Hamilton Park |
Chart-topping girl group sign on to Lanarkshire Racecourse's glittering programmeHamilton Park Racecourse is celebtrating after top UK girl group, The Saturdays, became the latest addition to the venue's already star-studded 2010 programme. The Saturdays, Frankie, Mollie, Rochelle, Una and Vanessa, have been confirmed to perform at Hamilton Park's Cash for Kids Night on Thursday 24 June, in association with leading concert producers Liz Hobbs Group Ltd. This announcement comes just weeks after the Lanarkshire venue confirmed X Factor finalists Olly, Stacey and Danyl would perform at its Family Night on 10 July, before it stages an unprecedented stand-alone concert with double Brit award winners JLS on 23 July. Ashley Moon, Commercial Manager, said 'We're thrilled to have The Saturdays performing at this year's Cah for Kids Night. We wanted an act that would add to the glitz and glamour of the evening and would also appeal to fans of all ages. The Saturdays fit the bill perfectly. Radio Clyde Cash for Kids is an extremely worthwhile cause and we are committed to supporting the charity in any way we can. Last year we raised over £56,000 to help disadvantaged children in the West of Scotland and I have every reason to beleive we will surpass that total this year. To be able to add The Saturdays to our line up so soon after confirming the X Factor Finalists and JLS, demonstrates Hamilton Park is fast becoming one of the hottest music venues in Scotland, and at just £13 per ticket, it offers high quality entertainment and real value for money.' Following their debut single in 2008, The Saturdays have racked up seven smash hit singles, a platinum-plus album, a nomination for Best New UK Act at the MTV Music Awards and recently finished supporting Take That on the highly proclaimed The Circus tour. |
